Portland Brunch Guide
The Best Brunch Near Portland State University & the South Park Blocks
Kingsland Kitchen · Downtown Portland · Est. 2015
Portland State University sits in the middle of one of the most walkable stretches of downtown Portland — the South Park Blocks, with their tree-lined paths and farmers market on Saturdays, lead almost directly north to Kingsland Kitchen's front door at 301 SW Pine St. We're about a 5-minute walk from the PSU campus core. For students, faculty, staff, and anyone visiting campus, that makes us the closest quality brunch in the neighborhood.
We've been here since 2015, serving all-day breakfast and brunch Thursday through Tuesday, 9 AM to 2 PM. If you're on campus in the morning and want something better than a dining hall or a drive-through, this is the move.
Why PSU Students & Faculty Come Here
There's no shortage of coffee shops around campus, but sit-down brunch near PSU is a shorter list. Kingsland Kitchen fills that gap — a proper brunch restaurant with a full menu, a full bar, and the kind of food that makes a morning feel worth getting up for.
We're also walk-in friendly. No reservation required, no hour-long wait. Join our digital waitlist from your phone before you leave campus and your table will be ready when you arrive.
What's on the Menu
Full English Breakfast — Portland's Best
Housemade Irish back bacon, proper bangers, blood sausage, Heinz beans, roasted tomato and mushrooms, HP brown sauce, and two perfectly sunny eggs on buttered white toast. The real deal — no shortcuts.
French Toast
Thick-cut local brioche soaked in rich custard, griddled golden, topped with seasonal fruit, powdered sugar, and whipped cream. The dish that keeps people coming back.
Eggs Benedict — Four Ways
Classic with honey ham, Chicken Benedict with buttermilk fried chicken, Benedict Florentine, and Smoked Salmon Lox — all with our chipotle hollandaise.
The Kingsland Big Breakfast
Two eggs any style, breakfast potatoes, your choice of bacon, banger sausage, honey ham, or sausage patty, and buttered toast. The one to order when you mean business.
Brunch Cocktails
Kingsland Bloody Mary with housemade mix and pickled veggies. Mimosas by the glass or bottle. The Pancake Shot (Jameson, butterscotch schnapps, syrup, bacon, OJ chaser) for when it's that kind of morning.

A Word on the Saturday Farmers Market
The Portland Saturday Market runs on the South Park Blocks right through PSU's campus from April through October — one of the best farmers markets in the Pacific Northwest. If you're making a morning of it, Kingsland Kitchen is the obvious brunch stop before or after you shop. We're open Saturdays 9 AM to 2 PM, walk-ins welcome.
Weekdays Work Too
Most of our PSU regulars come on weekday mornings — before a late class, between meetings, or as a treat-yourself alternative to campus food. Weekday mornings are quieter, you'll almost always get seated right away, and the full menu is available start to finish.
We've been feeding this neighborhood since 2015. Come see why.
